TACC GOES TO “SMART ROADS: THE DIGITAL REVOLUTIONS!”

The “Smart roads: the digital revolution” event was held on Thursday 27 September at the Autodromo di Modena. TACC students presented the business ideas and exposed the project prototypes.

This first event of the Modena Smart Life 2018 was entirely dedicated to MASA – Modena Automotive Smart Area, the project for the development of smart mobility, the first national urban outdoor laboratory for experimentation, research, verification, standardization and the certification of autonomous driving technologies and of connection with the city infrastructure.

The event was opened by Ludovica Carla Ferrari, councilor for Productive Activities, Tourism and Smart City, and by Professor Francesco Leali of Unimore. Enrico Pagliarini of Radio24 moderated a discussion table composed by Stefano Zunarelli, Giovanni Sartor, Sylvain Belloche, and Isabella Ferrari who those discussed on smart mobility and driving.

Autonomous car demonstrations and tests took place in the paddock area with experiments conducted by Unimore and connected cars by the working group of public and private partners.

During the afternoon, the 6 teams presented their business ideas in front of the audience of the Conference Room, showing and discussing the key points of their respective projects. CarbonCap, JustSit, Key-Go, RedThread, SafeUp, and Raido also exhibited the prototypes, which allowed them to get in touch with industry experts from which they received important feedback for the development and improvement of their business projects.
