21 universities throughout Italy to defeat the distance imposed by the Covid-19 emergency. The Contamination Lab of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia participates in the national contest of the Italian CLab Network. It is possible to vote the videos of the projects on the platform until 19 June 2020.
21 business projects will represent 21 CLabs across the country. The goal is to give visibility to students’ ideas in a time of crisis given by the global Covid-19 pandemic. The CLab UniCa coordinator of the initiative in its role as leader of the Italian CLab Network, funded by the ministry of the University. The team led by Pro-Rector Maria Chiara Di Guardo launches the national contest online with the participation of twenty-one Contamination Lab members of the Italian CLab Network.
“Identify the best business ideas and give visibility to the ideas of young people in a time of crisis caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic. It is a sign of rebirth and hopes to start the competition with the CLab of Bergamo, the place most affected by this terrible pandemic. The projects conducted by young people from all over Italy represent not only the excellence of our universities but a message of collaboration between the Italian universities and – explains Professor Di Guardo, scientific director of CLab Unica – a positive appeal for current and future entrepreneurs of our Country”.
The Refuel Solutions team, born during the second edition of the TACC – Training for Automotive Companies Creation project, will compete for the CLab of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. For prof. Bernardo Balboni, scientific director of the UniMoRe Contamination Lab “this is an opportunity for the ReFuel project to confront outside the university and territorial context to truly understand the potential for future growth”.
ReFuel Solutions is an innovative startup that promotes a circular economy system based on the potential of biofuels, offering services and products for eco-sustainable mobility. Aware of the need for fuels for heavy road transport, the team believes that it can greatly reduce the environmental impact deriving from them, through the use of biodiesel. For this reason ReFuel Solutions is developing the Biodiesel kit, an innovative after-market device that allows us to overcome the current technical limits of diesel engines, and aims to provide services to increase the percentage of collection of used cooking oils for a biodiesel 100 % green.
